In 2015, BC Assessment received an
Award of Excellence from ESRI Canada for our use of Geographic Information System (GIS) technology to improve our assessment process and your public access to property information, including 3D modeling for condominiums, mapping, and on our public online Assessment Search.
The International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) awarded BC Assessment with the
Public Information Program Award on multiple years: 1993, 1998, 2001 and 2012.
The award represents a minimum two year effort in developing, launching and implementing an effective information distribution system for the public, including websites and social media resources.
BC Assessment received the Tyler Excellence Award in 2012 for our use of technology in our residential photo update initiative, involving street-front digital photos across multiple regions of B.C., and in 2024 as a winner under the Process Efficiency category, a testament to the resiliency, capability, and creativity of the people at BC Assessment.
