VICTORIA – BC Assessment is honoured to have been recognized as one of Canada's Most Admired™ Corporate Cultures for 2018 by Waterstone Human Capital. Annually the program recognizes 40 Canadian organizations for having cultures that enhance performance and help sustain a competitive advantage.

"Our corporate values of 'Balance' and 'Coaching' indicate our fundamental belief in the importance of people at BCA," says Jason Grant, President and Chief Executive Officer at BC Assessment. "We work hard to enable a culture which provides opportunities, growth and flexibility." BC Assessment provides a flexible workplace and promotes healthy work-life balance for all employees. "When planning for the future, we focus on how to best serve our employees and provide a culture that they want to be a part of," says Grant. "We have hundreds of employees who make BC Assessment a life-long career path, myself included. Employee retention doesn't happen without an emphasis on an excellent, sustainable corporate culture."

"At Waterstone we believe corporate culture drives performance and that it's your organization's greatest asset," says Marty Parker, President and Chief Executive Officer of Waterstone Human Capital and Chair of Canada's Most Admired™ Corporate Cultures. "What's notable about the 2018 winners is their commitment to culture as a competitive advantage. They set an outstanding example for cultivating and sustaining great cultures that ultimately drive growth and performance. This year's winning organizations are to be admired for the diverse and impactful ways they ensure culture underpins their success."

As part of the selection process, Waterstone Human Capital looked for vision and leadership, recruitment and hiring for fit, cultural alignment and measurement, retention, rewards and recognition, organizational performance and corporate social responsibility.

In addition to Canada's Most Admired™ Corporate Culture, BC Assessment has also been recognized as one of BC's Top Employers five times, including for 2018, and one of Canada's Best Employers for Recent Graduates twice.
