Land use controls, i.e. official community plan (OCP) and zoning land use designations
and title restrictions, affect the legal use of properties, and thus, the assessed market
value. Consequently, it is vital that taxing authorities provide BCA with amendments to
land use controls within their communities.
Taxing authorities can provide BCA electronic copies of land use control amendments,
including geographic information system (GIS) shape files (mapping) for new OCPs and
zoning bylaws, using Citrix ShareFile.
