Where are your offices located? Do I have to be located in British Columbia to apply for a position?
We have 12 offices throughout BC within the Lower Mainland, Kootenay Columbia, Northern BC, Thompson Okanagan and Vancouver Island.
All BC Assessment employees
must live in British Columbia. If you do not currently reside in, or live within commuting distance of the location(s) of the position to which you are applying, please make clear your relocation intentions as part of your cover letter.

Application Process
Can I apply for a position if I’m not a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident?
You must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada to be considered for permanent opportunities. If you have a valid work permit, you are eligible and encouraged to apply for temporary opportunities.
I already work at BC Assessment, where do I apply?
If you are a current BC Assessment employee, you will need to submit your application through Workday. Login to Workday, select the “Jobs Hub” app from the home page, then “Browse Jobs” to view and apply for current job opportunities. Be sure to update your profile, cover letter and resume prior to applying!
Can I apply for multiple jobs?
Yes! You can apply for multiple opportunities through your candidate profile. We ask that you only apply for roles that align with your experience and education.
Do you provide reasonable accommodation throughout the recruitment process?

Will I be notified when a job I have applied for has been filled?
When a position has been filled, we will communicate with all candidates via email. If for some reason you have not heard from us several weeks after the position has closed, you can email

What should I include in my application?
We request that you upload an up-to-date resume and cover letter, unless specified differently in the posting. Please complete the full application for the position, including your education, certifications and experience that are relevant to and/or required per the stated qualifications.
I was invited for an interview. Will it be in person or virtual?

Working Here
Do your positions require you to be in office or is remote work available?
Upon completion of the first two months of your probationary period, you may be considered for remote work in accordance with our Hybrid Workplace model and associated Telework Policy. BC Assessment’s Hybrid Workplace model requires you to be in office a
minimum of two days per week, with the option to work the remainder from home. However, there may be some positions where, for operational reasons, an employee is required to work in office more frequently or 100% of the time. Please note that our current Hybrid Work Policy can be changed or updated at any given time.
We do not offer any fully remote positions and you are required to geographically work from the location specified on the job posting.
Does BC Assessment offer flexible work schedules?
At BC Assessment, we value and believe work-life balance is really possible! BC Assessment supports flexible work in order to make work-life balance possible. Depending on the operational requirements of the role, flexible hours, split shifts, flex days may be available. If you are the successful candidate, flexible work arrangements can be discussed with our Manager.
Do you hire students for co-ops or internships?
We occasionally post co-op or internship based positons throughout the year in various divisions. In addition, some of our roles are posted are temporary in nature which can accommodate those looking for co-op or summer opportunities. These opportunities are posted on our external career site.
Do any of your positions require regular travel?
We are proud to work, live and play in beautiful British Columbia! Some of our positions require modest to frequent travel across the province and will state this in the posting.
