Taxes and Assessment .....who does what?

After we complete our assessments, we provide our data to taxing authorities (e.g. municipalities).  They set tax rates based on their budget requirements and send property owners a tax notice in the spring of each year.  BC Assessment is not responsible for property taxation.  Your municipality or taxing authority sets your property tax rate.
